Wendy’s Has Sweet Potato Fries!!!

Posted by: thetalkingspoon on: August 23, 2011

I did a post (–> http://thetalkingspoon.wordpress.com/2011/05/14/must-try-food-sweet-potato-fries-with-a-surprise-tip/<– post) on the differences between sweet potato fries and regular ones, and it’s not a secret that I prefer sweet potato. Healthier, and in my opinion, tastier, whenever I see them I squeal. Loudly. Wendy’s has recently released their sweet potato fries with a “vanilla brown sugar” sauce, which gives [...]

Fiber Plus Antioxidants Cereal- Caramel Pecan Crunch Review

Posted by: thetalkingspoon on: August 12, 2011

I have tried Fiber Plus “Berry Yogurt” cereal and thought it needed a bit more sugar. The flakes were harder and thicker than what I wanted, so after finishing the box, I never bought it again. That doesn’t mean it wasn’t good, but I’d give it a strong 2.5 out of 5 because the flakes [...]

Coffee Mate’s White Chocolate Caramel Creamer (Review)

Posted by: thetalkingspoon on: April 26, 2011

Not overly rich, nor too thick (unlike International Delight’s Breve Cream in my opinion) I get a pretty even taste of caramel, but a slightly less white chocolate undertone. I had thought that the white chocolate would overpower the subtle buttery caramel, however one taste’s the opposite.

International Delights Cinnabon Coffee Creamer Review

Posted by: thetalkingspoon on: April 11, 2011

Although I liked their replication of the bun, I wouldn’t buy it again, because the inclusion of a cream cheese undertone in my coffee is just plain weird. I even considered that it would be when I was considering purchasing it, but I figured the cream cheese icing flavor would be obsolete.

Mio Water Enhancer:Because regular water just isn’t fun anymore.

Posted by: thetalkingspoon on: March 31, 2011

We all know that water is incredible for health, but let’s be real- it doesn’t always taste fun, and I’m a fun kinda girl! XD So this product was ideal! A little info about my water drinking history- I’d only drink it if I was parched, averaging at about 3 glasses/day. The sad thing was, I was totally okay with that.

POLL/Question Time!! What Would You like me to blog about next?

So it’s clear this food blog has featured many coffee creamer reviews, a copycat recipe and money saving tips, but is there anything you’d like to see from me in the future?

Opa! My First Greek Yogurt! (Then my second one)+ A recipe!

Posted by: thetalkingspoon on: March 18, 2011

Greek yogurt was pretty good It’s thick, creamy, chock full of protein (12 grams!) and does vary from your typical very sweet yogurts out there. It also taste a tad bit more natural than say some other yogurts that are just full of sugar. Plus, it’s so thick, I turned my spoon over and the yogurt didn’t even budge. COOL!!

I expected this to not taste that much like a vanilla cupcake considering it has a graham cracker base. Upon opening the bag, you’ll notice that there are sprinkles on your goldfish grahams to imply that is it indeed a cupcake. (Nothing spells a cupcake like sprinkles, and don’t you forget it :) ) With the first bite, I was only able to taste a graham cracker and maybe a bit more butter

Thai Iced Tea: A Must Try Delicacy

Posted by: thetalkingspoon on: April 11, 2010

If you frequent Thai restaurants, you would have noticed the Thai Iced Tea menu option, probably trying it on for size. For those of you who do not know what this delicious treat is, it’s basically a mixture of brewed black tea, sharp star anise, cinnamon, sugar and orange food coloring; Some recipes call for tamarind and other exotic fods as well. The tea is brewed and condensed milk or evaporated milk is added in, along with ice.
